Academic Advising in the Faculty
Whether you’re looking for academic guidance, need support navigating university life, or would like help planning your next steps, Academic Advising with the Student Development Centre (SDC) is here for you.
Your advisor knows your degree. They work with Faculty of Management students every day. They understand COMM_O progression, which courses run in which term, what an added or dropped core course does to your requirements, how a concentration fits, how to make room for a co-op term. Bring the question and you’ll get it answered against your specific degree requirements.
The Student Development Centre brings academic, co-op, career and program advising together in one coordinated place. An academic conversation can become a co-op/career conversation through a quick referral—no need to cross campus.
Who we advise
We advise students within the Faculty of Management, and those who are interested or in the process of enrolling. You don’t have to be in the Faculty yet.

The Student Development Centre’s academic advisors, co-op strategists, and career advisors work together to give aligned guidance and help you move forward with confidence, wherever you are in your degree.

Find answers on your own
Some questions already have answers, and here are some places you can find them. Often you can get what you need in just a few minutes. And if you still want to talk it through, you’ll arrive with a fine-tuned question.

For certain requests such as out of time exams, late withdrawals, letters of permission, degree progression letters and more, you will need to submit a formal request online.
