Interdisciplinary Graduate Studies

IGS programs are based on a defined area of interdisciplinary study supported by a group of faculty engaged in interdisciplinary, trans-disciplinary, and/or multidisciplinary research.

The IGS program is research-based and is open to students interested in an MA, MSc or PhD. Students taking an IGS degree work closely with faculty across departments and disciplines. The IGS structure allows for diverse inter-campus and inter-faculty course and supervisor arrangements. Students can choose from a number of themes from global studies to sustainability and urban, rural and regional dynamics or pursue the option to pursue an individualized program.
