Term appointments are made for specified periods to support teaching within the Faculty. Lecturer appointments are normally for a 12-month period and include teaching and/or related duties such as course coordination and lab supervision. Sessional Lecturer appointments are made for the duration of a single academic term and include the same teaching-related responsibilities.

A PhD in business, education, career development, organizational behaviour, human resources, leadership, or a related field is preferred. A master’s degree in business or a related field is required. The successful candidate will possess broad knowledge of career development theory and practice, including career planning, employability skill development, labour market awareness, professional communication, networking, interview preparation, and workplace readiness. Knowledge of organizational behaviour, talent development, leadership, human resources, or work-integrated learning would be considered an asset. Demonstrated excellence in teaching is required, and relevant professional, industry, advising, coaching, or career development experience is strongly preferred.

Finance and accounting are two of the core functional areas of firms and organizations and this course will explore how key financial decisions can create value, how financial information can be used to communicate with stakeholders, how financial information can be used to inform resource allocation decisions, and how financial information can be used to monitor performance.

MGMT 505 (3) Foundational Finance, Financial Reporting, and Control for Managers
This advanced course examines the role of finance, financial reporting, and financial control for managers. Finance and accounting are two of the core functional areas of firms and organizations and this course will explore how key financial decisions can create value, how financial information can be used to communicate with stakeholders, how financial information can be used to inform resource allocation decisions, and how financial information can be used to monitor performance.
A PhD in business or a related field is preferred. A master’s degree in business or related fields is required. The successful candidate will possess broad knowledge of business and management disciplines, with comprehensive expertise in Finance. Demonstrated excellence in teaching is required, and relevant professional experience in these areas is considered an asset.
