Your profile and documents
Profile is who you are
Application Materials is what you send
1. Go to the career hub.
Go to ubcmanagement.12twenty.com/ and log in with your CWL.
2. Choose whether employers can contact you
You’ll be asked when you first log in, and you can change it any time under your Account Settings. Opting in makes your resume and program details visible to employers searching for candidates. You can apply to jobs even after opting out.
3. Set your job preferences
Add the job functions, industries and locations you’re interested in. Edit this any time under Profile. These preferences drive Recommended for you at the top of the Job Postings page. Employers can filter for students based on job preferences.
4. Add your resume
Navigate to Application Materials and upload your resume. Make sure the file isn’t password-protected, or employers won’t be able to open it. Please do not share sensitive details like home address or student number.
What can employers see? If you’ve opted in, your resume in Application Materials is visible to employers. Other documents you upload—transcripts, for example—are not. Only your resume is shared.
Find and apply to jobs
Job visibility: Determined by employers
Co-op postings: Visible to students enrolled in Business Co-op.
The career hub brings postings together in one place so you can search, filter and apply. You’ll find co-op roles, part-time work and full-time positions.
1. Navigate to job postings
Navigate to the job postings module in the main menu.
2. Search and filter
Search by employer, job title or keyword, or press Advanced Search and narrow by industry, location and more.
3. Save what you want to come back to
Press the heart icon next to a job title. Saved postings are under + More Filters.
4. Set up job alerts
Run the search you want to get alerts for, then press Save search at the bottom of the window. To edit or delete an alert later, press My Saved Searches & Alerts at the bottom of the page.
5. Apply
Open a posting to see the details, requirements and deadline. Each posting sets its own application method: some take applications in the career hub, some send you to the employer’s own site, and some ask for email.
⚠️ Never share sensitive information during an application, including your student number.
After you apply: Track where each application stands under Applied, in the job postings module. Add notes about employers or next steps, watch for interview invitations, and check your email—employers often contact you directly rather than through the platform.
Find and register for events
Event types: Signature events, employer info sessions, workshops, networking
1. Navigate to events
Navigate to the events module in the main menu.
2. Browse or filter
Browse what’s on this week, or press Advanced Search to filter by event type or hosting organization.
3. Register
Open an event to see the details, location and accessibility notes, then press Register. Not every event needs registration. Some are drop-in.
4. Get reminders
Registered events appear on My Calendar on your career hub home page. You’ll get a confirmation email straight away and a reminder two days before. To have events appear in your own calendar as well, navigate to Account Settings › Integrations.
Book an appointment
Appointment types: Career and co-op advising, academic advising, application and interview prep
Book a resume review, interview practice, course planning or a conversation about where you’re heading.
1. Navigate to Appointments
2. Choose the appointment type
Pick the kind of appointment you need. If you want a specific person, narrow the results using the advisors filter.
3. Pick a time
Choose a date and time, add any notes or questions that will help staff prepare, and confirm. If you don’t see availability, check back—new appointments are released daily.
4. Change or cancel
Select your appointment slot, open the three-dot menu at the top right, then press Cancel Appointment. Cancel in the career hub rather than deleting it from your own calendar. That’s what releases the time for another student.
Calendar sync: To have appointments appear in your own calendar, navigate to Account Settings › Integrations.
Co-op and experiential learning
Not in the program yet? Business Co-op is a separate application, open to students 2nd year and above.
Once you’re enrolled and you’ve received an offer, record your placement in the career hub so it can be reviewed.
1. Navigate to Experiential Learning
Navigate to the experiential learning module in the main menu.
2. Add your experience
Enter the details of your placement.
3. Save it
Saving keeps it as a draft. You can come back and finish it later.
4. Submit it
When it’s complete, submit it for review. Our team looks it over and will be in touch if anything needs adjusting.
Resource library
