MSA and UBC Faculty of Management partner to launch laptop loaner program for management and commerce students

Joint purchase of 10 laptops will support equitable access to learning resources.

The Management Student Association (MSA) and UBC Faculty of Management have partnered to purchase 10 laptops for learners who need access to a device for their studies.

“Every student deserves the tools to succeed,” said Aarav Chahal, MSA President.

“No one should have to choose between essentials and having a reliable laptop for class. This program makes sure that if a student needs a device, one will be there for them. It’s a practical step toward equity that our student community is proud to champion.”

The laptops were jointly funded by the Faculty and the student association and will be available to students beginning November 26 this year.

“Student success starts with access,” said Dr. Gady Jacoby, Dean of UBC Faculty of Management.

“By partnering with the MSA to purchase these laptops, we are removing a real barrier and helping learners keep their focus on academics. This investment supports our BMgt students today and our future BCom students as the program launches in 2026.”
