Then check out the Discovery Career Conference (DCC), hosted by The Faculty of Management. The DCC empowers students and alumni to learn more about various industries, professions, and career paths by connecting them with engaging, dynamic professionals.
ALL UBC students and alumni are encouraged to attend this event.
Participants in the 2017 DCC experienced:
- Engaging Q&A Panel Discussions followed by a Networking Social with some of the Okanagan's top professionals
- Learned how professionals made their way into their various industries and careers

Have you ever been curious about pursuing a career in our region? Are you interested in learning more about the variety of careers available, and what you need to succeed? This years panel explored career paths in the Okanagan. Attendees heard from engaging panelists and learned the benefits of pursuing a career in our region.

Attendees heard from engaging panelists in regards to learning how to begin a career as an entrepreneur.

This year we were happy to announce that are Discover Career Conference 2017 moderator was Stephanie Baziuk. Stephanie is the Program Director for the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce. The KCC is a member-driven organization dedicated to connecting, serving and empowering the Kelowna business community. Stephanie works on the direction of the Sales Lead Networks, Women’s Leadership Network, Young People in Business and a variety of other signature programs.
Attendees took the opportunity during the Networking Social to follow up with the individuals they wanted to engage with most. This was an excellent opportunity to learn more about the careers and industries from the people who’ve experienced them.
