Keith Culver is Professor of Management and Associate Dean for Regional Innovation Practice. He serves as Acting Dean in the absence of the Dean. In addition to these roles, he is Director of UBC STAR Survive and Thrive Applied Research initiative www.star.ubc.ca ,a bi-campus research initiative improving human performance in extreme environments. A legal theorist by training and interdisciplinary by inclination, recent work includes The Unsteady State (Cambridge UP, 2017) and Legality’s Borders (Oxford UP, 2010) with Michael Giudice, and collaborative publications and professional contributions scoping across regional innovation and social reception of novel technologies, with particular focus on the role of law in resolving conflicts in these contexts.
