#21424 – Henderson Award in international development
A $4,100 award is offered by the Henderson family through the Shuswap Community Foundation to an undergraduate or graduate student at The University of British Columbia, Okanagan campus who is participating in an international health and/or international community development initiative taking place in a developing country, with preference given to an international student. The award is made by Faculty, School or College nomination to Enrolment Services.
#21501 – CFA Okanagan Award in Management
A $2000 award is offered by the Okanagan Chapter of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Society, through the Central Okanagan Foundation, to a student who has completed their final year in the Bachelor of Management or Master of Management Program in the Faculty of Management at The University of British Columbia, Okanagan campus. The award is made on the recommendation of the Faculty to candidates who have provided confirmation of CFA exam registration to the Faculty, with preference given to a student who has volunteered with CFA Okanagan.
#21516 – Dave McAnerney Memorial Award in Management
Awards totaling $4,500 have been made available through an endowment established by the Stober Foundation in memory of Dave McAnerney (1963-2022), along with matching funds from the University of British Columbia, for third- or fourth-year undergraduate students in the Faculty of Management at the University of British Columbia, Okanagan campus. Awards will be given to students who show outstanding academic achievement, demonstrated volunteer or community leadership in Kelowna, and who have financial need. Dave McAnerney was the CEO of Stober Group in Kelowna BC. He trained as Engineer and enjoyed a long career in senior executive management in the beverage and construction industries. This award is established by the Stober Foundation in honour of Dave’s exceptional leadership in business, his deep commitment to his family, colleagues, and community, and his natural gifts as a mentor and role model throughout his career. The awards are made on the recommendation of the Faculty of Management.
#21517 – Grant Thornton LLP Award in Accounting
A $2,000 award has been made available annually through a gift from Grant Thornton LLP for a third-year student in the Bachelor of Management program in the Faculty of Management at the University of British Columbia, Okanagan campus. Preference will be given to students pursuing a career in chartered professional accounting who have excelled in accounting courses and have demonstrated a strong involvement in professional and extracurricular activities. Equal consideration is to be given to academic and non-academic criteria. The award is made on the recommendation of the Faculty of Management.
#21518 – Crowe MacKay LLP Achievement Award in Accounting
A $2,500 award is offered by Crowe MacKay LLP Kelowna to a student in the Bachelor of Management Program in the Faculty of Management at the University of British Columbia, Okanagan campus. Consideration will be given to students pursuing a career in chartered professional accounting who have excelled in accounting courses and have demonstrated a strong involvement in professional and extracurricular activities. Equal consideration is to be given to academic and non-academic criteria. The award is made on the recommendation of the Faculty of Management.
#21519 – Crowe MacKay LLP Leadership Award in Accounting
A $2,500 award is offered by Crowe MacKay LLP Kelowna to a student in the Bachelor of Management Program in the Faculty of Management at the University of British Columbia, Okanagan campus. In addition to demonstrating a high level of academic achievement, candidates must also exemplify leadership by engaging in campus life and serving as a role model for their peers. The award is made on the recommendation of the Faculty of Management to a student pursuing a career in chartered professional accounting.
