UBC Faculty of Management students may be eligible for a variety of undergraduate awards, bursaries, scholarships and research supports.
Awards, scholarships and prizes
Merit-based awards, such as scholarships and prizes, are offered mainly based on your academic achievement. Scholarships and prizes are made available through funding by the University as well as donations made by individuals and organizations.
Students are generally considered for scholarships based on their academic achievement in the preceding school year. They then receive the scholarship at the beginning of the next Winter session. Scholarships are applied to outstanding tuition first.
Visit the Awards and Financial Support Office site for details of opportunities.
New in 2017: Robert B. Harris Award in Management launched in 2017 for students entering fourth-year in the Faculty of Management at UBC's Okanagan campus. The purpose of the award is to encourage the development of future leaders who may make a significant contribution to Canadian business and to Canada. The award will be given to a student who has demonstrated academic strength, an exceptional work ethic and leadership in the classroom, campus and/or community. Download the application form and criteria to find out more.
Bursaries are non-repayable awards that are designed to help fill your "unmet need," which is the gap between (1) your assessed educational and living costs and (2) your available government assistance and expected financial contributions.
There are many types of bursaries available: visit this page within the Awards and Financial Support Office for details on eligibility.
