This two day working event is open to everyone interested in the future of the British Columbia wine industry and will focus specifically on wine labelling and presentation. This will be an invaluable opportunity to influence the future direction of your industry in a neutral and challenging arena.
Western Economic Diversification (WD) is supporting opportunities for the BC wine industry to position itself for international growth. The first requirement is to consider wine labelling and presentation. This will be addressed at the Wine Industry Collaborative through:
- Review of your survey results
- Discussion on international experience
- Establishing the terms of reference & composition of the task force
The labelling and presentation task force will be struck in early November and begin its work immediately, reporting to the industry early in 2016. More details on the timeline will be considered at the Wine Industry Collaborative.
The presence of UBC and KEDGE as impartial allies to the local wine industry creates a new avenue for territory wide growth, as values, standards and collective strategies can be coordinated and developed for the benefit of all wineries in the region.
