Message from the Dean

I would like to begin by acknowledging that the land on which we gather, live, and learn is the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Syilx (Okanagan) Peoples.

It is a privilege to be serving as Dean pro tem of the Faculty of Management at UBC Okanagan. As a collective of students, faculty, and staff, we have an opportunity to shape an inclusive and supportive learning environment, one where individual strengths, diverse backgrounds, and perspectives are recognized and appreciated.

The Faculty website is designed with the aim to provide support and clarity during all stages of the student experience. If you don’t find what you are looking for, please don’t hesitate to contact us or drop by the Faculty in the Engineering, Management and Education Building (1137 Alumni Ave). I hope your experience at UBC Okanagan brings in equal measure renewed curiosity and a sense of purpose as you pursue learning, research, and interdisciplinary collaborations here at UBC.

For those of you who may be new to UBC Okanagan, I want you to know that everyone at the Faculty is dedicated to your success. As informal and social connections with classmates and colleagues grow, I hope you will feel enriched by these as much as the time spent in formal study.

It is an exciting time to be with the Faculty, where together we are creating opportunities to redefine leadership collaboratively and seek innovative solutions to regional and global challenges. I look forward to working together.

Sincerely,
Sandy Hilton

Dean pro tem, Faculty of Management
